How is New Harbor Group different from other firms?
New Harbor stands out for its commitment to excellence – the work, the people, and the high standards we expect of ourselves. It’s energizing to be part of something with that culture of commitment.
What’s a great day at work?
Landing a great placement for a client. All the behind the scenes work that goes into p.r. – the strategy, pitching, planning - it’s a great feeling to see it all come to fruition.
What was your first job?
I was a carhop at A&W, where I learned a very valuable lesson – success (in this case, tips) is directly related to the effort you put in. I also learned how to tip a mug full of root beer into the lap of obnoxious customers. Fortunately, a talent I don’t have to use anymore.
Do you have a favorite book?
To Kill a Mockingbird. I always admired Atticus, but found him particularly poignant during a recent re-reading. As the mother of two young children, I hope to teach my children empathy, understanding and faith in human goodness, the way his example did for Scout.
What is your ideal escape?
Block Island. Once I step off the ferry it is a complete release. The pace allows me to enjoy what really matters – uninterrupted time with my family.
What do you listen to in the car?
I have to admit that I’m a talk show junkie. But, when the kids are in the car, usually (and unfortunately) Radio Disney.
